Kragerø School of Arts

Kragerø School of Arts is a two-year art school, located in the town of Kragerø, on the coast, 2 hours south of Oslo. For more than a century, Kragerø has attracted several artists – Edvard Munch for one, and some of his most dynamic works were created right here where our school is built.

The school building is completely refurbished, with three floors covering 1200 sq. meters with an open, airy feel overlooking the Kragerø fjord.

We have a multi-disciplinary curriculum, with a variety of consecutive modules in painting, sculpture, digital arts, 3D-printing, graphic design, glass art, ceramics, art history, photography, exhibitions, installations and land-art.

Our faculty have Teaching Degrees and are established artists with international backgrounds. We are proud to collaborate with Southampton Solent University and Wolverhampton University in the UK. After completing our 2-year program, the students may qualify to enter the 3rd year of a Bachelor program in Fine Arts, Applied Arts or Digital Arts.
